About me…
Oli Yam
I’m a London-based mastering engineer with a background in classical music and a passion for sound in all its forms. My journey started under the name YEIN, where I explored electronic music and game composition, and along the way, my tracks gathered over 600k plays on SoundCloud and 3.5 million views on YouTube.
I hold a first-class degree in Music and Sound Design, and later went on to complete the Audio Mastering course at Berklee College of Music Online, studying under mastering engineer Marc-Dieter Einstmann. I also had the opportunity to work at Sound Performance, where I assisted mastering engineer Andrew Thompson on projects for BGO Records and Uncut magazine’s monthly releases.
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll probably find me geeking out over HiFi gear and vinyl, chasing that perfect sound. My passion for headphones borders on obsession, constantly testing, comparing, and fine-tuning my setup in search of the ultimate listening experience.
